DFL Runner, could you add my fella, Steve, to the Vanelli list? And, note that I will be eating his carbs as well as my own. Thanks!

See! Proof that other than the Little Rock Roadrunners taking over Vanelli's there is nothing better to do in Tupelo on a Saturday night! Heck a junior high game in Starkvegas is more exciting according to the locals! Mr. Green

WE HAVE A PRIVATE DINING ROOM AT VANELLI'S BEGINNING AT 5 P.M.

IT'S PROBABLY A GOOD THING! ARRR!

FYI:

Vanelli's is apparently THE place in Tupelo.

The Marathon Maniacs are having their dinner Saturday night at...you guessed it, Vanelli's.

In addition to the two running group dinners, there were two other BIG groups having a dinner there. A wedding party, I think. This could get interesting. This could get ugly.

Although Cheryl and I are still coming, she is probably not going to run. I sent an email to David Whiteside, race director, to see if there was a waiting list. He said all entries had been placed in their computer and linked with the timing chips. HOWEVER, he did say remind him of my inquiry at the expo and he would see what he could do.

I say all this to mention the possibility that there might be a half-marathon slot available. If interested in trying to see if this can be done let me know on this tread or send me a pm.

Meanwhile, Tapering for Tupelo and carbo loading is on. Hooray and what not!
