I thought that you might like to know, that yesterday in my City.IE: London, we, the British, along with visiting Americans, took time out to remember the dreadful period of 9/11. There was a very moving ceremony in Grosvenor Square, opposite the American Embassy, where there is a permanent memorial to those British Victims of this sad episode.
Also., later that evening at the annual "Henry Wood Proms" at the Royal Albert Hall, the guest of honour was the worlds leading soprano, the American, Renee Fleming, who expressed her humility as an American, to the British Public who had been so surportive on this rather sad day.
So do please be aware, what-ever other people might tell you, we the Brits share with you in many ways. Time may heal, but the pain never goes away.
Long may this great friendship between our two great nations persist.
The Ancient Brit. (LOVE YOU GUYS). |
